Sugar and Strawberries

I die every night thinking of that face
The memory of those lipsĀ
The sight of them as you spoke
Willing hard to get that out of my mind
Surprisingly doesn't seem to work
And I haven't kissed that sight goodbye yet
It's been months in real, and decades in my head.
Left me wondering what it is like
To know you the way I wish to
To be a part of you
To feel the world around me freeze
As I feel those lips on mine,
Probably like Sugar and Strawberries?
Hell yes, it's worth the wait,
To let that taste linger on my tongue
To treat myself to a holiday.
